COMMUNITY QUESTION
Do we lose our way from feeling with our body?
BONNIE
Interesting question. I feel that the cells in our bodies are always responding to each other. However, our conscious mind may forget that our body is a living, breathing organism and try to control it from the ideas that we have about it. Rather than motoring our body from a preconceived idea about it, we can change our approach and open our perception to what is actually occurring.
If our leg goes asleep, we can’t move it in an organized way. But, as the feeling returns, we are capable of making decisions about how we want to move it. To the degree we’re able to perceive our bodily processes, the actual states, we become clear in our decision making and choices, and how we want to live in this body.
