At first it was difficult and required minimal effort but concentrated focus. I could breathe this way for only a few moments before I would gasp for breath and I would return to my regular breathing.
It felt primordial, perhaps even before taking my first breath of air through my lungs at birth.
Upon practicing this breathing, my state of health improved phenomenally. In sharing it with others, many people have also experienced the depth of this breathing which can sometimes feel like we are not breathing.
The name that arose for this breathing is embryonic breathing. It eventually became more than a practice and became the foundation for the way I breathe all the time.
This video is an introduction to embryonic breathing. I share my story and experience with embryonic breathing, the anatomy of embryonic breathing, and a somatization to guide you through your own exploration of embryonic breathing.

The other class and somatization mentioned in this video is Awaking Breathing in the Lobes of the Lungs.
