Yoga International Movement Summit: Exploring the Intelligence of the Body is an opportunity to learn about and connect with your body’s innate wisdom, resilience, and capacity for expression. Learning from the experts we’ve assembled from a variety of movement fields, you can embark on a discovery of greater whole-body awareness and a deeper appreciation of your own uniqueness.
It’s a chance to explore physical expression through a range of intersecting perspectives that include techniques such as body-mind centering®, myofascial force transmission, body mapping, mobility and breathwork as it relates to the nervous system, and more. Furthermore, it offers different ways to connect theory and practice around topics such as yoga and pain science, trauma, biomechanics, fascia, and neuroscience.
Beginning with a “fascial makeover” for your extremities (think feel-good practices for fingers, toes, and more) and concluding with an insightful discussion on biomechanics and tissue capacity, the summit covers a breadth of teachings, practices, and Q&A’s presented by the following experts: Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Tom Myers, Shanté Cofield, Jill Miller, Jules Mitchell, Betsy Polatin, Sean Feit Oakes, and Shelly Prosko.
You’ll receive 24 lectures, 20 practices, and one application session in the following presentations:
- Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen Moving From the Inside Out: Body-Mind Centering® (five practices)
- Tom Myers Anatomy Trains: Myofascial Force Transmission and Structural Integration (ten lectures and one application session)
- Jill Miller Prioritize Your Periphery: A Fascial Makeover for Feet, Fingers, Hands, Toes, and Face (five lectures and five practices)
