“The seeds of my explorations lie in both dance and therapy. As a lifelong dancer, from the womb to my now seventies, I have sought how to fully know and express the vibrant spirit that enlivens this body in which I live.”
Question
Bonnie, what are your seeds that lie in therapy?
Bonnie
The seeds that lie in therapy began when I was 16 and a senior in high school. With a teacher and a few other students, we went to a local cerebral palsy center to explore music and dance with children there. The courage, desire, and perseverance of the children were incredibly inspiring and joyful.
In college, I became an occupational therapist and worked in physical medicine, psychiatry, and pediatrics. The reality of suffering and the depths of healing possible within myself and others is imprinted upon who I have become and continue becoming.
