Teacher and students both have important roles in creating a mutually supportive teaching/learning environment.
In a teaching situation the facilitator has overall responsibility for supporting the individuals who attend, the group at large, and the material to be presented.
When the participants support themselves, the facilitator can focus more on the group.
When the participants support themselves and the group, the facilitator can focus more on the material.
When the participants support themselves, the group, and the facilitator, everyone becomes a participant with the material.
When everyone participates with the material, we all begin to mutually inform and create the material.
